What Is Creative Psychotherapy?

Creative Therapy and Dramatherapy are expressive and dynamic forms of Psychotherapy, which support children, adolescents and adults with exploring and processing feelings, as well as inviting new insights and coping methods so the healing can begin.

Sometimes it can be difficult to directly talk about issues that cause you to feel anxious, fearful or depressed. If you have difficulty with directly expressing your problems Creative Psychotherapy provides a safe space to explore your concerns in a supportive and creative way. Within your therapeutic journey the creative process invites the opportunity for new insights and meanings to your concerns.

I can work with you using a range of therapeutic tools such as role-play, mask making, storytelling, story-making, improvisation, movement, embodiment work and image making, along with many other ways we may choose to therapeutically explore. Any themes or feelings emerging from your process can be reflected upon and further discussed within your therapy session.

You do not need any previous experience or special skills to engage in any of the creative processes, we will begin where you feel comfortable and at a pace that suits you. Creative Therapy is suitable for all ages from children through to adults.
